Playing the Cosmic
Casino Mind
the place where
E = T and T≠ E but n x 10 to
the one-hundred twentieth = the face of
God, which is an n-sphere. The
last veil pulled back? exposing the belly and breasts of creation? Where muons
share space and laughter
echoes endlessly, quasars’ mad
light— an
extravagant wink, drunken debauch of constellations. Knowing what
seers, levitators,
magicians of time and
space concede, what holy
men have always
known: you can
never really see yourself in this closed mirror. For
each step across another abyss,
science seizes the skirts of theology,
as the
raveled edge of the known
universe shreds away from its tools exponentially. Meg Withers |
